Bridge
I qualified as an English Bridge Union tournament director and am an occasional player at county and national events. I'm a current or past member of these duplicate bridge clubs:
Cottenham Bridge Club
The Thursday Club (Trinity College, Cambridge)
Amateur dramatics: sound and lighting for twelve productions of the Shoestring Company in Stamford
Squash, real tennis, badminton and racket ball
In 2015, I started playing Real Tennis and currently have a handicap of 74 (which won't get much worse, I hope!)
In 2017, after 45 years, medial meniscus damage led to me finally and reluctantly giving up squash and racket ball, although I still play badminton.
Qualified PADI Open Water SCUBA diver
Intermittent/incompetent golfer
Bell ringer in Avon and Somerset in the 70s
Runner since 2019, with three half-marathons (so far).
I'm a keen fell walker, when given the opportunity from the Fens! With achievements:
Highest points in Africa, South East Asia and Northern Europe
Annapurna circuit (17,769 feet); Kilimanjaro (19,340 feet); Mount Kinabalu, Borneo (13,435 feet); Galdhopiggen (8,100 feet)

Wainwright's Coast to Coast (192 miles)
